Below is a excerpt from one of my favorite books about the Savior, it's called in the "Arms of His Love", by Steven Cramer. I chose this passage to share because out of the entire book this message touched my heart the most.

"The Savior longs to encircle each in the arms of His love, but He is often restrained by our discouragement and unbelief. The Prophet Joseph Smith once had a vision in which he saw nine if the twelve apostles in a foreign land. He saw them standing in a circle without shoes. They had been beaten. They were tattered and discouraged, looking at the ground in despair. Standing above them in the air was the Savior, reaching toward them, yearning to lift them, comfort, strengthen, and encourage them with the arms of His love. But they did not see Him nor discern His presence. The Savior looked upon them and wept....Truman Madison once stated, "The greatest tragedy of life, is that, having paid the price of suffering 'according to the flesh that his bowels may be filled with compassion,' (Alma 7:11-13) and being now prepared to reach down and help us, he is forbidden because we won't let him. We look down instead of up" (Steven A. Cramer, 2007).
